You’ll show up eager to begin and maybe apprehensive, but what matters is you showed up.
Arrive for your first class at least 10 minutes early so we can get you set up and show you around.
Our knowledgeable instructors will quickly put you at ease. Make sure to share if you have any physical concerns or past injuries so they can tailor your workout to your body’s unique specifications and goals.
Studio classes start right on time.
The SOLOS environment is designed to motivate you and amplify results. The energy is high and the atmosphere is energetic, with upbeat contemporary music and instructors focused on each individual’s one-of-a-kind success.
A workout on our Reformer machines is a low-impact supercharge, and it may even look slow to you, but prepare yourself. You’ll meet resistance, overcome, repeat, and target every muscle group in your body with a results-driven shred.
This experience can carry you to the next level: mentally, physically, and beyond. Because there’s you and then there’s the version of you when all that’s left is your breath, your grit, and your sheer substance. SOLOS is a honed and effective training ground to find and build this version of you.
Because our Reformer Pilates workout is low impact, we have clients who attend daily. 3-4 times a week is optimal for maintaining strength and building visible results, but even just 1-2 classes a week will enhance your life.
We offer varying resistance options and knowledgeable coaches who can provide a workout for all levels. Classes are designed to be an exceptional experience for both fresh-faced beginners and advanced Pilates students.
Let your instructor know if this is your first time, inform them of any injuries you may have, and go at your own pace.
Foundations is our recommended entry level class for new clients to learn the foundational form to our moves and get familiar with our machines. A foundations class at SOLOS focuses on form, slow controlled reps, and breath to movement.
Foundations is not restricted to new clients only and could be used a slower paced workout for experienced clients. Just because we’re moving slower doesn’t mean it is an easier class for clients who know how to push themselves and active in all the right places!
Please keep SOLOS classes a cell phone-free zone. We have cubbies for storage and ask that no phones be brought to your machines.
Visit our schedule and hit the Memberships button to purchase credit packs or sign up for a membership. All credits and memberships can be used at any SOLOS location unless specified as a “Student 8-Pack.”
Follow us on social media to stay informed about deals or promotions. Currently we offer 8-pack and 12-pack auto-renew options for SBCC and UCSB students. This offering is only available for The Goodland Studio. Message us via our app to learn how to apply.

The new 2024 STUDIO X REFORMER PILATES app can be used on any smartphone. We highly recommend the app to make your life easier! The download links are provided on the “download our app” tab of this site.
Our waitlist is active up until 1 hour before class begins. You will automatically be added to the class if a spot becomes available — no confirmation required. If you choose to show up to the studio on standby you must check in with your instructor and wait on the side until the instructor allows you to join.
Please check in with the instructor to see if any spots are available. If so, you are welcome to join! If you’re new to SOLOS, it’s a requirement to arrive 10 minutes prior to class to download your app and sign the waiver. This will also give us time to give a rundown of the equipment and show you around.
To forego penalty fees, class must be changed or canceled 12 hours before the scheduled class time.
For unlimited monthly clients canceling within the 12-hour window, the penalty is $18. If an unlimited client fails to cancel and is a no-show, the charge is $25.
For clients with packages and auto-renew packages, late cancels and no-shows result in the loss of a class credit from your package.
Changing your class time within the 12-hour window is considered a late cancel even if you’re moving yourself into another class time. To cancel your Reformer Pilates reservation please access your account online or in the app.
Outside the 12-hour window, there is no penalty for shifting your class to a different time. If the change is made within the penalty time frame, this would be considered a late cancellation.
Canceling within the hour prior to the Reformer Pilates class time will result in a no show penalty. If the change is made within an hour of class starting, the system will be locked and not allow users to change or cancel.
If you’re on a package basis, the penalty result is losing a class credit.
The Pilates gods don’t tolerate tardiness.
No, but seriously. You must be physically present at the start of class to maintain a spot on a Reformer. If you fail to be early or in class at start time, you may forfeit your spot to a waitlisted person. Out of respect and safety for our studio community, our Reformer Pilates classes start on time. Once class begins, latecomers are not permitted.
Please get the go-ahead from your doctor first. We’ve had many clients continue their workout regimen with us throughout their pregnancy with a few modifications. Post-delivery, make sure you are medically cleared for fitness again. When you’re ready, we promise optimal results for your post-baby strength gains.
We love our kids, but SOLOS isn’t able to accommodate children at this time. Our machine-driven classes aren’t a safe environment for unsupervised children or distracted adults.
Please do not bring your children to the studio with the intention of sitting them on a bench or stashing them in the back room. We cannot make any exceptions.
At the Santa Barbara location in La Cumbre Plaza: Parking is free and easy. There are two lots available, but the easiest access is at the Bristol Farms side of the La Cumbre parking lot near Williams Sonoma.
At the Goleta location in the Magnolia Center: We are located by a nail shop on the Shalhoobs side of the center, and parking is free and widely available.
We recommend sticky socks, but these are optional. We also recommend leggings over shorts, but if shorts are worn, compression shorts underneath are a good idea.
We don’t have showers but our bathrooms are stocked with items to help you freshen up before getting back to your day!
We were until Elon stole the letter X from us.
Or that’s what we like to tell people. Our original name, Studio X, came from our X-former machines and the X-factor we cultivated in our clients, but as this bold little letter continued exploding in popularity, we knew it was time for a change to reflect our one-of-a-kind offering.
We went to brand therapy, got to the bottom of what makes our community so special, and SOLOS was born out of a love for the people, results, and success stories forged here— earned individually, stoked by community.
Sticky socks are mandatory for all reformer classes. They help with grip, stability, hygiene, keeping both of you and the equipment safe.
You choose! Get a taste of our workout with 2 classes for $50, or give it your all with 2 weeks of unlimited classes for $99.
